Mistletoe Mouse Contest Winners

Congratulations to Samantha, Lochy, Jing, Claire and Kailee, our winners of the Mistletoe Mouse contest! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Mistletoe Mouse. We wanted to know what the Mistletoe Mouse did this Christmas. Read the winning entries below!

Once on a Christmas Day, Misletoe Mouse walked down her minty chocolate stairs with her sister Minty Cow. They were astonished to find nothing under the Christmas Tree except black, chalky looking, smoke-smelling coal. Although they were very good, they got what they didn’t deserve. Later as they dressed for the day, they tagged along Sweet Tooth Tiger and Wintermint Deer to find out what went wrong. After the stimulating conversation, they used the tremendous slide of the ferret to launch themselves all the way to the North Pole. During the talk with the adorable, cookie-odor elves, they learned that Santa had a malfunction with his navigation system. With the permission of Santa they went on his sleigh with presents for Misletoe Mouse’s town. She giggled and laughed and gave presents to everybody in her town later that afternoon. She came home with her presents. Misletoe Mouse spent her Christmas with loving family and friends and spent her Christmas as a great dream. – Samantha

The Mistletoe Mouse needed to drive to the far end of Kinzville to spend Christmas with her father, mother, and grandparents. Only one problem stood in her way: the roads were shut because of too much snow. But that didn’t stop her. She walked for about an hour. Tired and cold she found a snowmobile rental place. She quickly ran inside and asked a walrus if she could rent one. The walrus said yes. Soon after that the Mistletoe Mouse was speeding through the snow at fast speed. But suddenly it ran out of gas. The Mistletoe Mouse walked again and found a snowboard. The only thing that stood in her way now was a huge summit. She took the snowboard and started blaring down the mountain incredibly fast. Later that evening she arrived at the house. She knocked on the door. The Mistletoe Mouse’s mom face lit up she saw her. Then The Mistletoe Mouse, her mom, dad, and grandparents sung Jingle Bells near the fire. The End – Lochy

Here it was. Christmas. Mistletoe Mouse was very excited today because she was expecting her friends to come over for a Christmas party. They would all bring gifts to trade and a lot of delicious food to eat. When the time came around for the party to start, everyone was crowding at the door of Mistletoe Mouse’s house, chatting excitedly. Then Mistletoe Mouse opened the door “Welcome, everyone! Are you excited for the party?” she asked. “We can’t wait!” came the response. “Well, what are you waiting for? Come on in!” said Mistletoe Mouse. Everyone rushed in though the door, and the party began. They played musical chairs, chomped down on some delicious food, played pass-the-present, danced, and had a wonderful sing-along. Everyone was very sad when the party was over. No one ever had so much fun before. But Mistletoe Mouse told them that it was Christmas, and it will come again next year. With that, everyone went home happily, excited for next year. - Jing

Mistletoe Mouse was walking around the Kinzville Park when she saw that trash was EVERYWHERE! So she said, “I know what I’m going to do this Christmas.” So she grabbed an old recycling bag and a garbage bag and set off to clean the park. She put all the compost in the trash bag and all the old cans and cereal boxes in the recycling bag. Then she thought, “All the Webkinz and Zumbuddies and Mazin’ Hamsters will wake up to a clean park for Christmas.” And that made her heart soar. She wanted it to be a surprise, but she needed help. If you want to know anything about the Kinzville Park, it’s big. REALLY BIG. So she called her friends Shelly the Signature Sea Turtle and Louise the Green Earth Puppy to help. So they cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. And on the night of December 24, they were done. So they went home and went to bed. The next morning Santa left them a note: “I loved what you did to the park. Here’s your presents.” And ALL the residents of Webkinz World thanked them. – Claire

This year, all the Mistletoe Mice had a wonderful Christmas. Though one young mouse, named Berry, experienced the most magical thing of all. On Christmas Eve, at 11:57, Berry walked downstairs. “Of all nights,” Berry said, “why cant I sleep tonight?” Berry sighed and glanced out the window. “I wish SantaKinz would come,” Berry said. Slowly he closed his eyes and dozed off. As soon as the clock chimed midnight, Berry opened his eyes. “Merry Christmas young ‘un!” Berry jolted up. He found himself staring into the eyes of an old dog with a long white beard. “SantaKinz?” Berry asked. The old dog smiled and nodded. “That’s me!” Santa said. “Berry, how would you like to fly around with me and deliver all the other presents?” Berry was shocked. “Really?” Berry asked. “I’d love to!” After Santa Kinz put down the last present for Berry and his family, they both got into Santa’s sleigh and flew all over Webkinz World delivering the toys to all the Webkinz. – Kailee

Winter is my favorite season because it is always so cheery and everyone is always happy. The snow brings an even better spirit. You can sled, and ice skate, and play hockey. You can build snowmen and make snow angels. Also winter means CHRISTMAS! Christmas brings family and friends together; it is just a happy mood, all around. Putting up the Christmas tree is fun, too! Winter is awesome too because there are all sorts of good, yummy foods. In our backyard there is a hill, so I can sled! Then when I come in my mom makes me some warm, sweet, hot chocolate. That’s why I LOVE the season winter! - Rachel

Wintertime is a spectacular season. The air is crisp, cool, and clear. The snow is like a blanket of powdered sugar resting upon the curving hilltops. Smells of cinnamon and sugar fill the air, along with the scents of my favorite snickerdoodle cookies. Yum! Everything in winter is amazing. Christmas is another reason to love winter. Christmas is my favorite holiday (besides my birthday, which is a worldwide celebrated holiday- actually I wish it were but it isn’t). At Christmas everything sparkles and beams, and joy fills the air. As Christmas takes up the majority of winter, a whole month is touched up by it, and New Year’s follows right after, it ensures the cheer. Winter is my favorite season, a gorgeous season of laughter and fun. – Lisa

Winter is my favorite season. Snow is falling from the sky and is gently piling on the ground. When the snow is untouched in the dawn sunlight it is more beautiful than a beach sunset. This is only the first reason why I love Winter. The Christmas tree is up and is lighting up the whole room with bright and cheery colors. Decorating the tree is what I love to do on chilly days with my family. After all, isn’t that what Christmas is all about? To sum up my thoughts about Winter I would have to say I love snowmen. Sometimes in the middle of winter I ask my parents if I can take a walk just so I can see the house decorations and of course the snowmen. That’s all I have to say about Winter but before I say goodbye I would like to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. - Megan

I love winter because it is so poetic. I love to write poetry, and every time I look out the window during wintertime, I see something that can inspire a piece of poetry. The crisp, cool snowflakes are refreshing as they fall on my face, and as they do, I am thinking of different words to describe them in a poem. When I hear my boots crunch over the snow-covered grass, I memorize that detail for my next poem. As I look up into the sky, I see wispy cotton candy floating above a wonderful world of white. When I glide back into my house, eager for a cup of steaming hot chocolate, I look into the mirror, and I see that the tip of nose is pink, and my ears are matching. Winter is my favorite season because it gives me inspiration. - Martha

Winter is my favorite season because I like to play outside in the snow with my friends and then go inside and drink hot chocolate. I also like winter because it is when Christmas happens. Another thing why winter is my favorite season is that you can go snow tubing and sledding. And because we get to stay home from school if the weather is really bad. This winter my dad might take me skiing. Me and my dad always go to the state park by my house and go down to the beach and it is so pretty because there are snow dunes and that is when the lake is frozen. I also love to eat the snow and the icicles and one year I dumped syrup on the snow and it tasted so good. I remember when I, my dad and my dog Elvis went to the baseball fields and my dad tossed a ball and my dog slipped on the ice. It was really funny; don’t worry he wasn’t hurt. My dad always hates winter because it is really snowy and he has to shovel the drive way at like 5 in the morning before work. I love winter so much!!! – Michaela

Salley does damage control

Oh, this day is NOT going well. I realized that I was going to have to try and put a leash on this monster of a party that Stoogles had set loose upon the world. I knew I’d have to be really diplomatic so I just went around and explained to everybody that had mentioned the party yesterday that I was just having a small get together with a few close girlfriends and that, while I would love to include them, it just wouldn’t work with my mom being out of the house and all.

Maybe that was not the way to go. When I told Laurabeard, she looked really hurt and said that she thought she WAS one of my close girlfriends. How awkward was that? Then Sparky asked me if I thought girls were better than boys. Of course I don’t think that but when I told him that was a stupid question he said that now I was calling him stupid! What? Then Alex asked if I thought all boys were stupid or just Sparky and so I said just Sparky and Sparky freaked. But that wasn’t what I meant at all!

It all just came out wrong, you know? Oh, I cannot believe that Stoogles has done this to me. It seems like just about everyone in school is mad at me now. And to top it all off, Stoogles isn’t speaking to me either. Like it’s MY fault!

Nibbles Hippo: Filmmaker

Hey everyone,

Well, my film is coming along pretty well. The only thing is, I’m not too happy about the fact that Cowabelle is probably going to enter as well. I don’t like the fact that I’m going to be competing against a friend. I also don’t like the fact that there’s a chance that Cowabelle’s film might be better than mine. I know that doesn’t sound very friendly, but it’s honestly how I feel.

I was hoping I would be the only member of the ‘Kinz to enter, and then everyone could just be really happy for me if I won.

Now, I’ll have to worry about my own film –and about Cowabelle’s.

Cu ce îi atrage acest site pe copiii mici ?
Site-ul Webkinz a fost creat pentru utilizatori cu vârste între 6-13 ani şi are un conţinut pentru toate vârstele şi pentru toate nivelurile de abilităţi de utilizare a computerului. Am creat acest site pentru o audienţă cât mai largă. Înţelegem că unele dintre jocurile şi activităţile noastre pot fi dificile pentru utilizatorii mai micuţi, dar cercetările şi experienţa ne-au arătat că publicul nostru tânăr se poate bucura de acest site cu sprijinul unui adult.
Acestea fiind spuse, am, creat unele jocuri şi activităţi pentru copii mai mici. Atât jocul Vopsirea Gardurilor cât şi Vânzător în magazinul de încălţăminte (jocuri de memorie) s-au dovedit amuzante şi uşor de jucat de utilizatorii mai mici. In Arcadă, recomandăm Wacky Zingoz şi Probleme în Lalele 2.

Utilizatorii tineri pot de asemenea să se bucure de toate metodele de a câştiga bani, inclusiv Roata WOW, Fântâna Dorinţelor şi Premiul pentru Grijă, şi, cele mai bune, întrebările pentru copii de 5-6 ani din Colţul lui Quizzy - peste 1000 de întrebări adecvate după vârstă, pe teme variate, care aduc KinzCash mai rapid decât orice alt joc.

KinzChat este sigur?
La Webkinz World încercăm întotdeauna să răspundem la posiblile dvs. temeri. In KinzChat, chat-ul este integral supravegheat. Utilizatorii nu pot sub nicio formă scrie ce vor, schimba informaţii personale, întreba sau spune ceva nepotrivit. Controlăm tot ce pot spune utilizatorii. În KinzChat PLUS, copiii pot scrie propriile lor cuvinte şi fraze, atâta timp cât nu folosesc cuvintele şi frazele excluse din acest chat. Încercăm să scoatem cuvintele şi frazele nepotrivite, inclusiv numele proprii şi numerele pentru a evita dezvăluirea informaţiilor personale. Dacă nu doriţi ca copilul dvs. să vorbească în KinzChat PLUS, îi puteţi bloca accesul din Zona Părinţilor.

Puteţi să-mi daţi câteva sugestii pentru gestionarea timpul petrecut de copilul meu în Webkinz World?
Webkinz World este un loc minunat de joacă. Este sigur, prietenos şi un mediu imaginativ pentru copii. Pentru că Webkinz World este atât de amuzantă, ar putea fi dificil să limitaţi timpul petrecut de copilul dvs. la computer.
Iată câteva sugestii pentru a limita timpul petrecut de copilul dvs. în Webkinz World:

3. Încurajaţi jocurile offline cu Animăluţele de pluş Webkinz; încurajaţi copilul să deseneze camerele pe care ar vrea să le proiecteze, cu Animăluţele lor Webkinz. Invitaţi prieteni din lumea reală şi celebraţi Webkinz!
   

Cum promovează Webkinz World învăţătura?
Webkinz World este un loc extraordinar de învăţare şi joacă! Copilul dvs. poate învăţa o mulţime de lucruri interesante cu Quizzy. Întrebările de la Colţul lui Quizzy sunt potrivite pentru vârsta lor şi sunt foarte educaţionale.

• Avem şi mai multe jocuri în Arcadă care promovează învăţătura:
  
• Litere la Prânz învaţă copiii să scrie şi să silabisească
  
• Provocarea Cuvintelor Quizzy îmbunătăţeşte ortografia
  
• Operaţiunea Guma încurajează copiii să gândească logic
  

Gazeta şi Poveştile W încurajează citirea, şi multe dintre concursurile noastre încurajează scrisul, creativitatea şi rezolvarea de probleme.

Copilul dvs. poate învăţa despre bani în Webkinz World; câştigând KinzCash, copilul va învăţa să economisească şi cum să cheltuiască banii.

Webkinz World ajută copiii să înveţe despre noţiuni de responsabilitate, îngrijirea unui animal şi înţelegerea cu alţii.


Fântâna Dorinţelor şi Roata WOW sunt jocuri de noroc?
Webkinz nu susţine şi nu trece cu vederea jocurile de noroc. Webkinz nu conţine NICIUN joc de noroc. Jocurile de noroc presupun punerea unei mize de către jucător, şi deci posibilitatea de a pierde acea miză. Membri Webkinz nu pot pierde KinzCash jucând jocurile noastre. Nu este implicată nicio miză.
În timp ce Fântâna Dorinţelor şi Roata WOW sunt metafore vizuale asociate uneori cu jocurile de noroc, nu este implicat un astfel de joc. Acestea sunt doar metode de a acorda premii în mod aleatoriu membrilor noştri. Aceasta este metoda noastră de a acorda premii. Întrucât copiilor le place să primească premii, bineînţeles că aceste secţiuni sunt foarte populare.

De ce Studioul Webkinz permite introducerea informaţiilor personale?
Vă rugăm să reţineţi că numai dvs. sau copilul dvs puteţi vedea ce se scrie în Studioul Webkinz. Nimeni altcineva nu poate vedea filmuleţele pe care le faceţi în Studio. Când vizitaţi un prieten în Webkinz World, nu îi puteţi folosi Studioul, iar el nu-l poate folosi pe al dvs.


Vom avea concursuri în care membri ca dvs. îşi pot înscrie filmuleţele şi, dacă câştigă, vor fi arătate la TV astfel încât le va vedea toată lumea. Fiţi sigur că nu vom admite niciun film vulgar, cu cuvinte nepotrivite sau informaţii personale în concurs.


Cum hrănim un animăluţele?
Pentru a hrăni animăluţul Webkinz, mergeţi la magazinul WShop din meniul Activităţi şi vizitaţi secţiunea "Mâncare". Puteţi cumpăra mâncare dând click pe mâncare şi apoi pe „Adaugă în Coş”. Când aţi adăugat toată mâncarea în coş, daţi click pe „Casă”,' şi „Cumpără Acum”. Mâncarea cumpărată va apărea în stocul dvs. trageţi mâncarea pe imaginea animăluţului Webkinz (din partea stângă jos a platformei dvs.) sau pe avatarul Webkinz din cameră. Animăluţul Webkinz va mânca mâncarea şi va face un comentariu. Indicatorul cu nivelul hranei se va îmbunătăţi.

Reînnoirea/expirarea contului – Ce se întâmplă?
Când adoptaţi un animăluţ Webkinz, puteţi să vă jucaţi în Webkinz World timp de un an. La sfârşitul anului, puteţi adopta un nou animăluţ în contul Webkinz World. Astfel contul dvs. va fi reînnoit la fel ca şi animăluţele Webkinz din el pentru încă un an. De fiecare dată când adoptaţi un nou Animăluţ Webkinz, contul dvs. va fi extins cu un an de la data adopţiei. De notat că anii nu sunt cumulativi (deci dacă adoptaţi un animăluţ pe 2 mai 2006, întreg contul vă va fi reînnoit până pe 2 mai 2007. Contul se reînnoieşte pe un an, indiferent de câte animăluţe Webkinzs aţi adoptat odată).

Ce să facem dacă animăluţul Webkinz se îmbolnăveşte?
Dacă animăluţul copilului dvs. se îmbolnăveşte (dacă are botul verde şi o pungă de gheaţă pe faţă), duceţi-l la clinica din meniul "Activităţi". Copilul va trebui să cumpere medicamente. Dacă animăluţul nu se simte bine, daţi-i mâncare mai sănătoasă şi puneţi-l la mişcare. Uneori Animăluţele Webkinz se îmbolnăvesc dacă sunt lăsate singure perioade lungi, fără îngrijire, iar indicatorul de sănătate scade sub 9, iar uneori se îmbolnăvesc şi de la o simplă boală contagioasă.

Animăluţele Webkinz pot muri?
Nu, animăluţele Webkinz nu pot muri. Animăluţele Webkinz se pot îmbolnăvi, dar nu muri.

Cât de des se actualizează Webkinz World?
Actualizăm Webkinz World destul de des, de obicei de câteva ori pe lună.

Unde jucăm jocurile?
Copilul dvs. poate juca jocuri în trei locuri:

1. Arena de Turniruri - Copilul dvs. poate juca concursuri împotriva altor membri din Webkinz World.
   
2. Arcada - Copiii se pot juca singuri în Arcadă. Unele jocuri sunt disponibile numai aici (nu şi în Arena de Turniruri).
   
3. Camera - anumite jocuri (disponibile în secţiunea Jocuri din Magazinul W) sunt disponibile pentru camera Animăluţului Webkinz. Unele astfel de jocuri pot fi jucate şi împotriva prietenilor veniţi în vizită.
   

Copilul dvs. poate juca mini jocuri, sau activităţi în Biroul de Angajări.



Cum adăugăm încă o cameră?
Pentru a mai adăuga o cameră, daţi click pe "Hartă" din camera animăluţului dvs. Webkinz şi apoi daţi click pe "Adaugă Cameră." Daţi click pe un pătrat liber de pe hartă şi alegeţi tipul de cameră pe care aţi vrea să o cumpăraţi (exterioară, interioară, mică, medie sau mare). Daţi click pe "Cumpără" pentru a cumpăra camera. Veţi vedea un mesaj care vă întreabă dacă sunteţi sigur că doriţi să cumpăraţi camera. Daţi click pe "Da" pentru a cumpăra camera.

Cum decorăm camera?
Pentru a adăuga obiecte în cameră, trageţi-le din stoc în cameră. Când apare un pătrat verde sub obiect, îi puteţi da drumul. Nu uitaţi că obiectele exterioare sunt pentru curţi, iar cele interioare pentru camere de interior.

Cum facem cumpărături la magazinul WShop sau Magazinul de Curiozităţi?
Pentru a cumpăra obiecte din magazinul WShop sau Magazinul de Curiozităţi, daţi click pe obiect, daţi click pe „Adaugă în Coş”, apoi pe „Casă”, şi pe „Cumpără Acum”.' Obiectele cumpărate vor fi adăugate în stoc, iar KinzCash vă vor fi deduşi din total.

Cum adopt un nou animăluţ pe acelaşi cont ?
Pentru a adopta un nou animăluţ Webkinz pe contul copilului dvs., autentificaţi-vă ca de obicei şi mergeţi la Centrul de Adopţii din meniul Activităţi. Dna. Birdy vă va ajuta copilul să adopte noile animăluţe. Va trebui probabil să vă ajutaţi copilul la aceste adopţii.

Copilul meu primeşte ceva de ziua lui?
Nu trimitem cadouri de zilele de naştere ale membrilor, dar trimitem câte un tort la ziua fiecărui animăluţ Webkinz. Tortul apare în stoc. Pentru a vedea când este ziua animăluţului Webkinz, vizitaţi "Animăluţele mele" în meniul "Activităţi".

Ar trebui să adoptăm animăluţele Webkinz pe un cont sau pe mai multe conturi?
Dacă copilul dvs. are mai multe animăluţe Webkinz, sugerăm adoptarea lor pe un singur cont. Când adoptaţi mai multe animăluţe Webkinz pe un cont, primiţi şi bonusuri speciale! Primiţi o cameră nouă pentru toate animăluţele Webkinz, de la al doilea la al zecelea, un obiect exclusiv pentru al doilea animăluţ Webkinz şi un pat Super-Bed pentru al zecelea, cincisprezecelea, douăzecilea animăluţe şi la fiecare alte 5 animăluţe mai departe. Adoptarea mai multor animăluţe Webkinz în contul dvs. este o idee EXCELENTĂ!

Cum câştigăm KinzCash?
Iată câteva metode simple de câştigat KinzCash:

1. Jucaţi jocuri în Arcadă sau Arena de Turniruri.
   
2. Răspundeţi la întrebările de cunoştinţe generale din Colţul lui Quizzy

Hee hee! This is awesome! Looks like everyone is starting to see Salley for the lame cat she really is. I love it! This is my big chance. I just know that I will soon be the new president of Kinzville Academy School Council.

While everyone was grumbling about the confusion over Salley’s Valentine’s party (or should I say Dull-entine’s party?), I took the opportunity to throw out MY fabulous idea about a new location for the school trip this year.

I mean, who wants to go to the boring old park AGAIN? I can go to the park any old time. So I started suggesting to some of the kids that this year we go to the BIG CITY! Wouldn’t that be spectacular? I really think that is the setting that I belong in, you know? It’s flashy, it’s bold – it’s Purr-cilla!

A lot of the kids were really enthusiastic about it. Of course, there were also some buzz-killers (read: Salley’s friends) who wanted to stick to the boring old park, and Ms. Cowoline said that she really didn’t think we’d be able to afford it.

But just you wait. Everything is going exactly as I planned. You may as well start calling me Ms. President right now.

Crafty Critterz: Old Fashioned Apple, Apple Pie

What you need:

• 1 9-inch pie crust for the top
  

• 1 9-inch pie crust for the bottom
  

• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  

• 1 cup sugar
  

• 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  

• 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  

• Dash of salt
  

• 4 tablespoons butter
  

• 8 cups sliced apple
  

• Pie Plate
  

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
   
2. Stir together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and salt. Mix in the apples.
   
3. Place 1 pie crust in pie plate.
   
4. Pour apples into pie plate and dot with butter.
   
5. Cover with top crust. Pinch the edges together to seal the two crusts. Cut out slits at top of crust to allow steam to escape.
   
6. Bake 50 minutes, when the crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through top.

Crafty Critterz: Night at the Movies Super Bed

What you need:

• Box (for the base of the bed)
  
• For the “Reels” of the movie bed: 2 small and 1 large empty ribbon spools (optional for 3-D effect)
  
• Cardboard (about one empty cereal box’s worth)
  
• 2 sheets of orange construction paper
  
• Math compass and pencil (for drawing circles; optional)
  
• Gold paint and paintbrush
  
• Glue
  
• Gold ribbon
  
• Ruler
  
• Red marker
  
• White fabric
  
• Red fabric
  
• Tiny amount of stuffing for pillows
  
• Needle and thread (or sewing machine)
  

What you do:

1. Make the “reels” (circles at ends of bed) of the bed: You can make the “reels” of the bed either 3-dimensional (using empty ribbon spools) or flat (using only cardboard).

To make 3-D reels: Cut four small circles and two large circles out of cardboard. Attach a cardboard circle to each side of the empty ribbon spools so that you have one large reel and two smaller reels. By attaching cardboard to the spools, you can make them whatever size you want for your bed.

To make flat reels: Cut two small circles and one large circle out of cardboard.

2. Decorate the reels: Cut out two large and four small circles of orange construction paper. They should be the same size as your cardboard circles were. Use gold paint to decorate the orange circles to look like movie reels. Draw some faint circles in between the gold paint to mimic lines in the movie reel.

3. Glue the decorated circles to both sides of the “reels.”

4. Glue or tape the “reels” to the bed.

5. Glue white fabric and red fabric to the bed base. Fold the red fabric down at one end to make it look like the red blanket is folded back.

6. Draw lines on the gold ribbon using ruler and red marker. Cut the ribbon in half.

7. Roll the ribbon around the reels. Half goes from the right front reel to the back reel. The other half goes from the left front reel to the back reel.

8. Make the front of the pillows from gold ribbon. Decorate the front with a red star using the marker. Use red fabric to make the back of the pillow, sew the pillow and stuff it.

1. Cut the back off the cereal box, leaving on the top and bottom flaps.

2. Fold the bottom flap of the cereal box down (this is your base) and the top flap up (this is what you will attach your pinball sign to).

3. Cut a smaller square portion out of the front of the leftover cereal box (for your sign) and tape this square to the top flap.

4. Cut the toilet paper roll in half and tape to the backside of the cereal box, underneath your sign.

5. Measure and cut out pieces of construction paper to fit over the cereal box and sign.

6. Decorate the construction paper to create the front of your pinball machine.

7. Tape the construction paper onto the cardboard to finish your new Webkinz pinball machine!

Ms. Cowoline asked me to make something yummy for the kids to snack on during the dance. I’m sure they’re going to love this easy recipe!

What you need:

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 2/3 cup sugar

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- ½ teaspoon salt

- ¾ cup butter, softened

- 2 Tablespoons milk

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 eggs

- Heart shaped cookie cutter

What you do:

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter, milk, vanilla and eggs, and mix at low speed until well blended. Refrigerate, covered, for two hours.

Preheat oven to 350° and grease cookie sheet.

Sprinkle flour on a clean, flat surface and roll out one half of dough to ¼” thick. With cookie cutters, cut out cookies and place them one inch apart on cookie sheet. Sprinkle lightly with sugar, and bake for 12 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely and repeat with remaining dough.



These cookies are going to make the Kinzville Academy Valentine’s Dance extra sweet!
